Harry Potter- Formulas
The formula in a movie is what brings the
movie together; the ingredients that it would take to make a particular type of
movie. The Harry Potter movie and series has adventure, magic, heroism. The
author puts together enough excitement in this series to draw the attention of
viewers from all over the world. With that being said, with the formulas that
the author has put together, Harry Potter has become one of the bestselling
series and novel of today; it attracts an audience of young and the young at
heart.
The adventure of Harry Potter starts with
the Harry Potter being an orphan and begins attending the school of witchcraft
and wizardry; this adventure inspires children to think outside the box or wish
they could do magic which draws the attention of many children who are
attracted to the adventures of magic. The magic is a supernatural force that
allows readers and viewer to be taken away from the realities of real life;
“wave this magic wand and everything will be okay when it’s all over. The heroism
is Harry Potter putting the well-being of his friends above his own; putting
himself in the line of danger.
The author put these ingredients together
from inspiration that was close to home; from friends, family and writers such
as Dickens and Shakespeare. With this J.K. Rowling accomplished something that
was far beyond what she expected when writing the novels.
From beginning to end,
J.K. Rowling stirred the ingredients and with each new novel created an even better
outcome than the last; she never ceased in capturing the attention of her
intended audience and never lost sight of what the public demanded. Without the
formula being expressed the way it was in Harry Potter, this novel would never
have gained the popularity that it has since its first release in 1997.
